Christopher Wilson BA, LLB, Solicitor, Director qualified as a solicitor in 2005 and after working with two established practices having graduated from Durham University, he joined McKenzie Bell in December 2017 as a Director.
Primarily, he deals with all aspects of Criminal Law and Employment Law and is a ‘duty solicitor’. Over many years he has represented defendants charged with the most serious offences including: Murder, Manslaughter, all Sexual Offences, Computer Crime matters, Fraud, Theft, Blackmail, serious Assault offences and Road Traffic offences. In addition, he has also represented defendants in several Very High Costs Criminal Cases (VHCC) and has great expertise in dealing with ‘shaken baby’ cases and computer related offending. Daily he represents Defendants before the Magistrates’ Court throughout the region whilst also dealing with Crown Court matters.
Christopher additionally deals also with all matters pertaining to Employment Law and represents both Companies and individuals. His work includes claims that progress to the Employment Tribunal concerning Wrongful Dismissal, Constructive Dismissal, Redundancy, Equality Act Discrimination Claims as well as Settlement Agreements. He can also advise on Human Resource (HR) matters.
He is the firms Compliance Officer and the Director who deals also with complaints, should they arise.
