Deborah Dixon LLM, LLB, solicitor and director joined McKenzie Bell in 1994 as an articled clerk and has been with the firm since that time, in 1999, becoming the first female partner in the history of the firm.
Deborah works from our Washington office and has developed a substantial family and residential conveyancing practice.
Deborah specialises in property matters and conveyancing transactions. She has 30 years of experience in all aspects of residential conveyancing, dealing with sales, purchases, re-mortgages, transfers of equity, lease extensions and purchase of freehold reversions, dealing also with Help to Buy ISA accounts and Help to Buy equity mortgages and new build properties. Deborah, together with our other conveyancing staff, are all members of the Conveyancing Quality Scheme. Deborah adopts a proactive and practical approach to her work to ensure that transactions are completed within timescales.
Deborah is also a member of the Law Society Family Law Accreditation Panel and specialises in all aspects of family law including divorce proceedings, financial matters ancillary to divorce proceedings and private law child arrangements issues. Deborah represents parents within public law cases involving Children’s Services.
Deborah is the firm’s Compliance officer for finance and administration together with the firm’s Senior Reporting Officer.
